The ride home through Capital Reef National Park was fantastic! The sun was out so we were able to see so much more than our drive on Friday!

On Sunday, March 17, some of the group went on an additional ride to see a view of Lake Powell. The weather was a little drizzly, but that didn’t dampen their desire to ride!

On Saturday, March 16, we were so fortunate to have Ray Golden lead us on a Poison Springs ride. He is an expert leading this area and had so much good information along the way. The weather was perfect too! We certainly crossed many streams of water, and even a 2 1/2′ river (Dirty Devil) which seemed more like 4′! Some people hiked up to the cave, and we all saw the many petroglyphs! The scenery was spectacular, and this ride was so much fun!

On Friday, March 15, we drove to the Ticaboo Lodge. On the way, we were a little concerned with the weather, as seen in the photo below. Once we checked into the Ticaboo Lodge, we went on our first ride through a slot canyon. It was magnificent, but I call this route “from Ticaboo to the Squeeze”. There was one point that I was sure we wouldn’t get through, but we did and it made that ride extra special!
